8/30 Theme and Identi-photo!

You made it.  I don't know how you did, but you survived a hurricane.  Well maybe you just survived a tropical storm, or perhaps, just another rainy day in Syracuse. Anyway you slice it, you should celebrate your life by doing fun things whenever you can, like trivia night.

This week the theme at trivia night is GAMBLING!  As the great Kenny Rogers once told us; you got to know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em, know when to walk away, and know when to come to Coleman's.  I can't help you on the first three, but the answer to the last is definitely Tuesday, by 8:00pm.

Check the image below (where it says "read more...") to examine this weeks identi-photo.  For the uninitiated, you are supposed to figure out what it is without writing anything publicly about it.  I'll ask a simple question about it on Tuesday.

Remember you can get BONUS POINTS by being one of the first 10 teams to sign up, bringing in non-perishable food (look at the links on the right for more on this) or completing a CHALLENGE!  Oh yeah, and this is the FIRST WEEK OF A NEW TOURNAMENT!

But getting back to why you are here:  This weeks trivia theme is SPORTS HALL OF FAMERS.  As soon as Trivia is recognized as an official sport and gets it's own HoF we will make sure to induct our Tournament Champions which we will crown this week with a trophy and sweet T-shirts.

What's up dog? fdcergytjkui, lkoi (that's what my dog typed)  This is a prime example of why "dogbook" should not exist.  But I digress.

This weeks theme has nothing to do with dogs (I think...) and (almost)everything to do with blood sucking creatures. The theme is VAMPIRE MOVIES AND TV SHOWS.  So I expect a lot of girls will be playing this week.

8/2 Theme and Identi-photo

When I was in 5th grade math class with Mr. Wallace, students would often drift off into the scene outside the windows and let their imaginations wander.  When he would catch someone doing this he would whistle the refrain to"(what a day for a) day dream".  None of us really knew that it was a real song, but I was glad that he recognized that each day this happened, was indeed, custom made for a day dreamin' boy.

If you are reading this during your proverbial math class, and you let your mind wander, I want you to know that I recognize that Tuesday is custom made for a trivia girl/boy (whichever you happen to be, I'm custom making it for you).  The information below should be just what you need to get that trivia brain started...

The theme this Tuesday is THE WEATHER.  And I know you're an expert on the weather- you've been dealing with it your whole life, you watch it on the news, you talk about it with strangers- this is definitely your theme.

Take a looky below for the Identi-photo this week.  Figure out who it is and I'll ask a question about it on Tuesday night.  Just a gentle reminder: Please don't write anything about the identi-photo for the public to see.  The idea is that each team needs to figure it out for themselves without any hints.

*NEW THIS WEEK ONLY!!*  Normally I give up to 5 bonus points for bringing in non-perishable food- 1 point/item.  I will still be doing that, HOWEVER, you may substitute non-perishable items by purchasing raffle tickets for the Race for the Eye for $1 each.  Each raffle ticket= 1 bonus point(plus you might win a 50/50 raffle) max 5 points per team.  So if you bring in 5 boxes of pasta you'll get your 5 bonus points. Or you could bring in 3 boxes of mac&cheese and buy 2 raffle tickets and get 5 bonus points.    Any combination of raffle tix and food items has a maximum bonus value of 5 points.(If you buy 5 tix I'll throw in an extra ticket free... just sayin')
